Though it is grouchy, mostly nonverbal, and avoidant of others, Steele is best described as "asocial" rather than "antisocial." He likes to have his own space unless he needs someone for a specific reason. If, by some miracle, he does decide he likes someone, he expresses this by not ignoring them when they say hello and, if given the opportunity, kneading on them.

Steele is short and small. If you point this out, it will probably bite you, but this is an undeniable fact that impacts a lot of its life. He needs stools to reach things on shelves most normal-height people don't, he often resorts to using child-size tools like scissors to get things done, and his phone is much too big for his little hands. Its large chest also often gets in the way of things.

He does not like being touched by strangers. Being allowed to pet him is a privilege and is often revoked within seconds of receiving it. No matter how much he purrs if you rub his fluffy cheeks.
